Bruce V. Spiva and Kathleen R. Hartnett founded Spiva & Hartnett LLP in 2006 with a commitment to providing the highest quality legal representation to individuals, businesses, and associations nationwide.

We bring the same high level of dedication and skill to representing all of our clients. We have substantial experience trying cases and arguing appeals. But we also understand that a successful outcome for many clients entails achieving their objectives without the expense and delay of a trial. Thus, where it serves our clients' interests, we provide counseling and conduct negotiations to avoid litigation.

For many years, we have litigated complex cases across the country. We both started our careers, and practiced for many years, at a large national law firm. Our experience includes clerkships with a United States Supreme Court Justice and judges on the United States Court of Appeals. We both graduated from Harvard Law School and were officers of the Harvard Law Review.
